DADS to Accept Public Comment on the Development of an SSLC Long-term Plan on Sept. 11
The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) will accept public comment on the development of a long-term plan for the state supported living centers (SSLCs) immediately after the Texas Aging and Disability Services Council meeting on Sept. 11, 2014. The council will meet in the Public Hearing Room of the John H. Winters Human Services Complex, 701 West 51st St., Austin, Texas, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Stakeholders may present oral or written feedback at this meeting.
DADS Rider 39 requires a 10-year plan to consider current and future SSLC operational and infrastructure needs. I, Texas Health and Safety Code (HSC), Title 7, Subtitle A, Chapter 533, Subchapter B, Section ยง533.032(c) also requires development of a long-range plan.
