- The Texas Housing and Health Services Coordination Council (HHSCC) is conducting a survey for residential and community-based services and supports to understand and measure the local capacity of these providers. - DADS directed Dallas/Tarrant STAR+PLUS Long-term Services and Supports providers to the web site project link.
- DADS reminded providers about CLASS Basic Job Skills Training to be held on April 4 and 5 2011, in Austin, Texas. Providers may register here.
- DADS clarified IPC documentation submission requirements to DADS for CLASS CMAs. CMAs must include both Form 8601, Verification of Freedom of Choice, and the “Selection Determination Form” in the submission packet to the CLASS Operations unit at DADS for review. Contact the CLASS Operations unit at 512-438-3609 for more information.
- DADS notified DSAs about a change in the procurement process for AA and MHM:
As part of this new rule, DADS will no longer conduct pre-authorization reviews for AAs and MHMs. To transition over to compliance with this adopted rule, the CLASS Operations unit at DADS will continue to process all requests submitted by a DSA for pre-authorization received through March 31, 2011. After that date, DADS will return pre-authorization requests received to the submitter with a request for re-submission in accordance with the process for submission of a proposed Individual Plan of Care.

- A Region 6 HCSSA Providers Meeting will hold a meeting on June 16, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the United Way of Greater Houston, Auditorium, 50 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77007.
