On behalf of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS), the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) proposes to delete an obsolete rule in the DADS rule base and to facilitate the consolidation of state standards for Intermediate Care Facilities for Persons with Mental Retardation or Related Conditions providers.
For more information, including a section-by-section summary of the changes, see the relevant section of the March 30 Texas Register.
In another update, the HHSC adopted a new rule, Requirements for the Health Passport, which is the electronic record of healthcare information required for children in foster care. HHSC didn’t receive public comments on this proposed rule within the 30-day comment period. For more information about the requirements for the Health Passport, see the relevant section of the March 30 Texas Register.
